In 2009, nearly 700 patients were diagnosed with prostate cancer at Beaumont's cancer center in Michigan. Our high quality of care is reflected in survival rates that exceed the national average, which is 94.3 percent for all prostate cancer stages at five years after the diagnosis of prostate cancer. The percentage of patients diagnosed with localized disease continues to increase – from 76 percent in 2003 to 81 percent in 2007.
