Urological Oncology

The department of urology at Beaumont Hospitals sees more than 600 prostate cancer patients each year and is committed to a team approach in providing coordination and continuity of care with medical oncologists and radiation oncologists. Our department also has specialists trained in the perineal and robotic-assisted laparoscopic methods of performing radical prostatectomy.

Our methods include:

• Retropubic prostatectomy
• Perineal prostatectomy
• Robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy

In 2010, the Urology program at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak was ranked #36 in the nation by U.S.News & World Report.
